NEA Task 8 : Research Into Existing Film Magazines For A Media Literate Audience

 Film Stories

Film Stories is an independent publication without a large publishing company behind it, it was founded by Simon Brew in 2018 as a podcast and website however now is a monthly published magazine. A copy of Film Stories would cost £4.99 for someone to buy and they also have a website at filmstories.co.uk where people can access information about their magazines, podcasts and other things such as live events.

 


Sight and Sound

Sight and Sound magazine is published by the British Film Institute (BFI) and is published once a month since it was founded in 1932. Sight and Sound costs customers £50 for a print annual subscription for the magazine. Sight and Sound do have a website section within the British Film Institute website which can be found at bfi.org.uk/sight-and-sound.

Little White Lies
Little White Lies is published by London-based media company TCOLondon which is a bi-monthly published magazine. One magazine has a cover price of £10 or a 12 month subscription can be taken out where it would result in £7.60 per issue. Little White Lies do have a website where information can be found out about the organisation and the magazine at lwlies.com.
